Over the years, many of us have left traditional religion searching for something that is bigger than we are; something that gives meaning and fulfillment in a world of continuous change and disappointment. The great saints and philosophers of both East and West have repeatedly told us that what we are looking for is hidden deep within. It is the "pearl of great price," or the "Kingdom of Heaven within." They have taught that nothing short of the direct experience of God will ever fill our need for wholeness, fulfillment, joy and love beyond measure.

 

The mystics tell us that deep within, there is a point of seeming nothingness around which our souls take form in the "image and likeness" of God. From that "still point" our body, mind and senses take shape according to a material and spiritual DNA. That "still point" is the source of our true nature - love, wisdom, peace and joy. This course cannot give you these things. You already have them. The purpose of Silence Speaks is to introduce you to the experience of these magnificent soul qualities yourself through simple universal spiritual practices and perspectives that spontaneously and naturally allow us to flow into and from our most Loving Source within. That is "Cultivating the Inner Life."
