The Name of God is the same as God.  Using the Name of God is merging with Him, becoming Him and experiencing the Bliss, Love and Peace that is His Nature.  What the mind dwells upon... it becomes.  Our thoughts are creative sounds that manifest according to their own nature.  The Nature of Christ is peace, and peace in action is love.  Thinking peace, chanting peace, spreading peace, is an act of love.  And to the mystic that is the purpose of life.
